Admission FAQs

Q. Since this is a donation, does that mean I can come in free?
A. Yes. We know that these are difficult economic times and will not deny anyone admission.

Q. What about children?
A. Children under 13 are admitted free to all FOOTMAD events. It is our mission to pass on the joy of traditional music and dance, so children are especially welcome!

Q. I’m not sure if I’ll enjoy it. Can I come in for a while and watch without paying?
A. Yes. Feel free to come in and try it out. You can always make a donation later if you choose.

Q. How much does it cost to present a dance?
A. On average, $500 (we pay bands and callers, and we pay rent). Our dances do not break even from what we take in at the door. Some very generous donors have been subsidizing our dances for a couple years. Won’t you help?

Q. What would it cost per person for the dance to break even?
A. In most cases, $10-$15 each if we had 40 paid dancers.
